Generating extra income for your salon by offering additional services may not be as difficult as it first sounds! Treatments don’t always have to break the bank which means there’s something for everyone. Not only are treatments beneficial for your clients whose hair will be left feeling amazingly healthy, but they also increase the chances of your client wanting the same treatment every time they come back to the salon creating repeat business.
We can all very easily become accustomed to our go to service and be wary of trying anything new, often we won’t try something unless it’s been suggested/recommended by someone we trust (and who do your clients trust more than their stylist?!) - below we have compiled a list of our favourite in salon treatments, what you can charge for them and who they’re best suited to.
OLAPLEX
Olaplex is a brand that need no introduction; they’ve quickly taken the hair world by storm providing high quality products designed to re-build and multiply the bonds in the hair. Keep reading for a list of our favourite in salon Olaplex treatments and remember Olaplex treatments are suitable for all hair types, however certain hair types may benefit more from them.
Diamond – Olaplex intensive treatment £25.00
Pamper your hair with an Olaplex stand alone treatment to immerse each strand to restore and repair whilst adding vitality and preventing further damage.
Perfect for clients with damaged/colour treated hair.
Gold – Olaplex colour aid treatment £15.00
Make the most of your colour by including Olaplex’s patented ingredient into your formula. This will re-enforce strength into your hair whilst helping your colour to develop more evenly, plus adding amazing shine. Note, add £5.00 for added toning.
Great for colour corrections/working on uneven and/or damaged hair.
Silver – Olaplex express repair £10.00
A treatment that works internally within the hair to help rebuild strength and manageability whilst reducing split ends.
Perfect for clients with damaged hair or for those customers who have just had an extensive bleaching/colour session. Also great for clients who are trying to grow their hair and don’t want a big chop of split ends.
Moisture Colour Lock £10.00
A deep nourishing 4-in-1 mask that will add intense moisture to help dry hair bounce back to life with added shine and body, leave hair silky smooth whilst locking in colour.
Olaplex Men £5.00
Experience this astounding beard grooming with Olaplex No.8: This incredible product is massaged to deliver sleek and soothed results.
Perfect for clients who complain of irritation/itching. Not only will it leave the beard soft and nourished, it will soothe any dry sensitive skin.
KERASTRAIGHT
KeraStraight is a semi-permanent keratin-based treatment that’s been designed to work on all hair types; although best suited to those with curly, dry/frizzy or brittle hair. There are two treatments available, the ‘Ultimate Treatment’ and the ‘Intense Boost’ which we explain in more detail below.
KeraStraight is designed to transform the most difficult hair into stronger, straighter, repaired hair that’s easier to manage and silky soft to touch. These treatments are best offered to clients who are self-conscious about the condition of their hair/those with curly or frizzy hair who are looking for a sleeker appearance. If a client can be heard complaining of frizz or damage why not talk them through KeraStraight and the benefits of it? Remember, the treatment can last for up to 4 months if proper aftercare is used which can be a massive selling point for customers.

How Does It Work?
KeraStraight uses advanced technology, their unique combination of low pH proteins renews dry, damaged and weak hair. These incredible repairing agents rebuild the hair adding elasticity, strength, vitality and shine providing smooth silky results that can last for up to 4 months. The low pH level of 1.5 makes the hair ionic which interrupts its ability to form a curl, changing the hairs shape and condition.
Treatment Costs
The cost for this treatment varies depending on hair length and which package your client wants. Below we have included a treatment menu which shows a breakdown of the costs per hair length and package type.
Intense Boost
The Intense Boost treatment is similar to the ‘Ultimate Treatment’, it helps to maintain the strength and overall health of the hair. It can be used in conjunction with the ‘Ultimate Treatment’ for an extra boost or it can be used in between the ultimate treatment as a top up. The intense boost can last for up to a month if proper aftercare is used.
